Sanchez vs Paredes: Live streaming results and round by round coverage

Tonight at 10 pm EST on FOX Sport 1, Alan Sanchez faces Ed Paredes in a junior middleweight main event from San Diego.

Alan Sanchez (14-3-1, 8 KO) and Ed Paredes (35-4-1, 23 KO) meet in a must-win bout tonight on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes, headlining another edition of Golden Boy Live! from the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego. BLH will be here with live coverage and discussion.

Sanchez, 23, is a fighter with some upside despite a pedestrian looking pro record. He's won two in a row over Jorge Silva and Jose Luis Ramirez, and may be another case -- like tomorrow's HBO headliner Gabriel Rosado -- of a fighter who has learned on the job without big protection from handlers.

The 29-year-old Paredes is a veteran fighter who has fought largely in Florida, where he lives. His last fight was on July 9 in Las Vegas, where he lost a 10-round decision to Alfonso Gomez despite scoring a pair of knockdowns in the fight. If either of these fighters intends to get into contention at 147 or 154 pounds, they have to win this fight. (Or Sanchez, since he's really young, could probably lose and later get into contention, but that makes this all much less dramatic.)

Undercard

Manuel Avila (16-0, 7 KO) faces Jose Luis Araiza (31-9-1, 22 KO) in a 10-round super bantamweight bout, and Australia's Will Tomlinson (22-1-1, 12 KO) takes on Miguel Zamudio (31-5-1, 18 KO) in a lightweight fight set for eight rounds. If there is time, a swing fight between Elias Espadas (6-1, 3 KO) and Carlos Lopez (5-1-1, 3 KO) will be shown. That fight is set for six rounds in the middleweight division.
