We've all heard this before, but trainer Freddie Roach says that if Manny Pacquiao hurts Timothy Bradley in their April 12 HBO pay-per-view rematch, he'll finish the job this time.
To Roach and even Pacquiao, Bradley did them a favor when he told Pacquiao "you lost your fire, the killer instinct and I will beat you."
Roach recalled that "Manny didn't like it at all." He said that "overall Bradley is a nice kid but its not about being nice in there. Its a knockout sport and if Manny hits him, he'll finish him this time."
Roach has been saying this about basically every Pacquiao fight for years, but the 35-year-old Pacquiao hasn't finished a fight inside the distance since stopping Miguel Cotto in the 12th round in November 2009. He's gone 5-2 since then, with no knockout wins, and one KO loss to Juan Manuel Marquez.
Do you think that we'll see Pacquiao's "killer instinct" re-emerge, or have you heard this tale too many times now to give it any credit?
