Paulie Malignaggi believes his experience and skills will be too much for IBF welterweight titlist Shawn Porter to overcome on April 19, but the younger Porter (23-0-1, 14 KO) says he doesn't see this bout differently than when he overpowered Devon Alexander in December.
"I fought hard to get this title. Paulie says he wants it, but is he willing to go through me to get it?" said Porter. "Fighting Malignaggi is like fighting Alexander. They don't have the strength or power to keep me away, and I will steamroll Paulie on my way to victory April 19."
Malignaggi (33-5, 7 KO) certainly won't look to use power against Porter, but his craft is strong, he's a highly intelligent fighter, and he's beaten plenty of guys who had bigger power in the past -- one could argue that most if not all of Malignaggi's foes have had more power than him.
Can Porter do to Malignaggi what he did to Alexander?
