Pacquiao vs Bradley II: Freddie Roach talks Manny's diet, fight week mood, and the Floyd posters

Freddie Roach says that Manny Pacquiao couldn't care less about the Floyd Mayweather posters, and describes the vibe from Pacquiao during fight week.

On Manny's fight week mood

"It's a lot of fun, because he's, like, he's at the point right now where he's in the ring shadowboxing, then he's doing Bruce Lee moves, then he's doing basketball moves, so I know that he's tired of training, he's ready to fight. This is what happens in a lot of training camps. He's showing his colors. I read him very well. We went about six rounds on the mitts yesterday, and we'll probably go less today. We had a run this morning, two miles, it was just light, and then when you tell him to go light, though, he does have to spring one of the 100s just to piss me off. Everything's right where it needs to be."

"It's usual, it's when he's in a good mood, he's happy, it's when he's having fun with it. When Manny Pacquiao's having fun with it, it means good things are going to happen. His weight's good, everything's right where it's supposed to be."

On the Mayweather posters at the MGM Grand

"I looked at it the other day, and I just said to myself, that's unusual. You have a big fight coming up. Bob really gave it to them. But I do know, I think Floyd has an exclusive contract with the MGM, I've heard over the years. I don't know if that's public knowledge, but I've heard that before. Maybe that's why."

Did Manny react to the posters?

"He doesn't care. He didn't even see them. He walks through the hotel, he doesn't care about stuff like that. It's not going to bother him at all. We never even discussed it."

On Manny's pre-fight diet

"He has a strict Filipino diet. His food every day is rice with chicken, beef, or fish, just a common Filipino diet. Probably not the most healthy diet in the world, but not the worst diet in the world. It's clean food. He doesn't eat junk food. He has his own cooks go in the kitchen at the hotel, they cook Manny's food. I think last night he had chicken and rice. It's funny how in the Philippines, all three meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, they're all the same. They are. You wouldn't know the difference. He eats very well. Matter of fact, he didn't get to eat before the run this morning, so I just sent him to go eat right now, because I want him to work out a little bit this afternoon. We're probably gonna do, like, four rounds on the mitts, just walk through the game plan a little bit more. Just maintaining. He's in a good place."
