Keith Thurman and Julio Diaz came out firing tonight in the main event, which was unfortunately cut short due to a rib injury.

Keith Thurman maintained his undefeated record tonight, stopping Julio Diaz after the third round when the corner decided to stop the fight, claiming a rib injury.

Certainly, it's an anti-climactic ending for a fight that was going Thurman's way but also was getting very exciting, with the determined Diaz (40-10-1, 29 KO) firing back on Thurman (23-0, 21 KO), who was more or less dominating, dropping Diaz in round two on a left hook, with Diaz taking a knee.

Thurman said after the fight that he wants to get himself into the ring with some of the elite welterweights, with IBF titleholder Shawn Porter specifically mentioned. Thurman gave Porter credit, and said, "Whenever they're ready, I'm ready. It's going to be a tremendous fight."

Diaz told Jim Gray that he was having trouble breathing, saying, "He caught me with a tremendous body shot. ... I've never given up in a fight. I got hurt. This guy's got some power."

Is Thurman ready for the top welterweights? Do you think he'll have a truly major win by the end of 2014? Also, is the StubHub Center magic?
