Heavyweights Steve Cunningham and Amir Mansour looked in great shape ahead of their NBC Sports Network Fight Night headliner tomorrow night from Philadelphia, and co-feature middleweights Curtis Stevens and Tureano Johnson made weight for their fight this evening.
Cunningham (26-6, 12 KO) weighed in at a lean 206 pounds, while Mansour (20-0, 15 KO) came in at 222½ for the main event bout. Neither man is a big heavyweight, but both have skills and are looking to win in what is a real crossroads fight, and a bout neither man can afford to lose. They're both up there in years, and this is Mansour's first major shot on TV.
Stevens (26-4, 19 KO) weighed in at 162.8, with Johnson (14-0, 10 KO) in at 162.2 for their catchweight bout, just north of the middleweight limit. Stevens, the more well-known fighter, is the big favorite, but Johnson has some skills and could be a live dog in this fight.
