This afternoon on BoxNation (UK) and streaming live for BoxNation subscribers at LiveSport.TV, Carl Frampton headlines again in Belfast, as he looks to clear the final hurdle before a world title shot later this year. Frampton faces Mexican veteran and two-weight world titleholder Hugo Cazares in the main event.
Frampton (17-0, 12 KO) is fighting for the first time this year, after going 2-0 including a really impressive win over Kiko Martinez, who later won the IBF title. Cazares (40-7-2, 27 KO) is a former titlist at 108 and 115 pounds, and though he's being overlooked here, the crafty veteran southpaw could be more trouble than expected if Frampton takes him too lightly.
The winner will be in line to face Leo Santa Cruz, perhaps in September.
On the undercard, Stephen Ormond (16-1, 7 KO) will face Karim El Ouazghari (16-4, 4 KO) in a 10-round lightweight fight; Jamie Conlan (10-0, 6 KO) takes on Benjamin Smoes (9-2, 1 KO) in a super flyweight bout scheduled for 10 rounds; middleweight Eamonn O'Kane (11-1, 3 KO) is set for 10 against Alvaro Gaona (13-3, 8 KO); and featherweight Marco McCullough (8-1, 5 KO) takes on Andrei Isaeu (25-4, 7 KO) in a 10-round bout, as well.
BLH will be here starting at 2:00 pm EDT with live coverage.
