Tonight at 10:00 pm EDT on NBC Sports Network, it's an all-Philly heavyweight main event from the Liacouras Center, as Steve "U.S.S." Cunningham faces Amir "Hardcore" Mansour in a fight set for ten rounds. In the co-feature, middleweight contender Curtis Stevens will take on Tureano Johnson.
Cunningham (26-6, 12 KO) and Mansour (20-0, 15 KO) are both in a must-win situation with this fight, if they're seeking a world title shot any time soon. Cunningham, 37, is a former cruiserweight champion who has gone 2-2 as a heavyweight, though one of the losses against Tomasz Adamek was considered highly questionable at best. Mansour, 41, simply isn't working with a ton of time, though he is a very fresh fighter for his age, with almost no wear and tear.
Stevens (26-4, 19 KO) is looking to win his second straight following last fall's game but one-sided defeat against Gennady Golovkin. The 29-year-old fighter from Brooklyn stopped Patrick Majewski in one round in his January return. Johnson (14-0, 10 KO) is a talented but untested fighter from the Bahamas who has talked a good game this week, and now has to back it up.
We may also see Notre Dame Subway (11-0, 6 KO), who faces Peter Lewison (6-0, 5 KO) in a six-round bout.
