The April 19 Showtime and Golden Boy card in Washington, D.C., now has a fully-announced and formed undercard. The world title tripleheader featuring Bernard Hopkins vs Beibut Shumenov, Shawn Porter vs Paulie Malignaggi, and Peter Quillin vs Lukas Konecny will also see plenty of prospects in action.
Welterweight Sadam Ali (18-0, 11 KO) will face Jeremy Bryan (17-3, 7 KO) in a 10-round fight. Bryan, a native of Paterson, New Jersey, is a two-time National Golden Gloves winner, and has an amateur win over Danny Garcia. Ali is a former Olympian who appears to be taking something of a sideways step with this fight, but just staying active is a plus for him right now, too.
Junior welterweight Zachary Ochoa (6-0, 3 KO) will be back in a six-round bout against Hector Marengo (6-7-4, 4 KO). 2012 Olympian Marcus Browne (9-0, 7 KO) will be in for eight scheduled rounds with an opponent to be named.
Dominic Wade (14-0, 10 KO), a 23-year-old middleweight prospect, will face veteran Marcus Upshaw (15-11-2, 7 KO) in another eight round fight. 21-year-old super middleweight D'Mitrius Ballard (4-0, 3 KO) will take on Quincy Miner (3-4, 0 KO) in a four-rounder. And D.C. welterweight David Grayton (6-0, 5 KO) and debuting lightweight Chrisshawn Alexander will both be in four-round bouts.
