Froch vs Groves II weights: Carl Froch and George Groves make weight easily

Carl Froch and George Groves, along with tomorrow's undercard fighters, made weight today in London.

Carl Froch and George Groves both looked in fantastic shape on the scales today in London for tomorrow's huge rematch at Wembley Stadium, easily making weight for their super middleweight title fight, with Froch's IBF and WBA titles on the line.

Froch weighed in at 167.9, with Groves at 166.4, both under (Froch barely) the 168-pound limit. Froch (32-2, 23 KO) defeated Groves (19-1, 15 KO) via highly controversial ninth round stoppage last November, battling back from early adversity, including a hard knockdown on a Groves right hand in the opening round. The fight seemed to be just about to pass into instant classic status when referee Howard John Foster stepped in to put what many believed to be a premature end to the action, with Froch pouring on the pressure.

The undercard is also loaded up with notable fights tomorrow. James DeGale will meet Brandon Gonzales in an IBF super middleweight eliminator, with DeGale and Gonzales weighing in at 167.4 and 167.5 pounds, respectively.

Kevin Mitchell (134.5) will face Ghislain Maduma (134.75) in a 12-round lightweight bout; Jamie McDonnell (117.5) takes on Tabtimdaeng Na Rachawat (117) with the vacant WBA "regular" bantamweight title on the line; and Anthony Joshua (236) meets Matt Legg (227.5) in an eight-round heavyweight bout.
