Canelo vs Lara to be shown in theaters by Fathom Events, Golden Boy, and Showtime

Canelo Alvarez and Erislandy Lara meet on July 12, and the fight will be shown in over 200 movie theaters nationwide in addition to the standard Showtime PPV option.

Those who might not want another $65 added to their next cable bill, rejoice! There will be a more affordable and less socially awkward option for you to watch the July 12 fight between Canelo Alvarez and Erislandy Lara, as Fathom Events, Golden Boy Promotions, and Showtime Sports present the pay-per-view card in theaters nationwide.

Pre-order tickets are now available:

Tickets for "HONOR & GLORY: Canelo vs. Lara" are available at participating theater box offices and online at www.FathomEvents.com. For a complete list of theater locations and prices, visit the Fathom Events website (theaters and participants are subject to change). The event will be broadcast to nearly 200 select movie theaters across the country through Fathom's Digital Broadcast Network.

Tickets for the theater closest to me are $16, so obviously quite a bit less than the standard PPV fee, and considering we've already had PPV on March 8, April 12, May 3, and June 7 in boxing, if your wallet is feeling a little pinched but you want to see this fight (which is a hell of a fight on paper), this might be a nice option for you.
