As he promotes his July 26 fight with Dereck Chisora, Tyson Fury was again asked about IBF/WBA/WBO/Ring Magazine world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, and his response was the same as usual, including the chosen slur he likes to assign Wladimir.
From RingTV.com:
"Klitschko's not going to fight me because he's too much of a pussy, and he's got no balls. If he did have a set of balls, then he would fight me. ... We're probably going to have to wait until about 2016 to get in position for a mandatory shot, and I think that by then, Klitschko will have fought Bermane Stiverne. He'll beat Stiverne, and will have gotten all of the belts, and then he'll retire. So that means all of the titles will be vacant, and then I'll have to fight for vacant title."
Fury (22-0, 16 KO) beat Chisora back in 2010, but all agree (including Fury and Chisora) that Chisora was not in good shape at all. Now, that's Chisora's own fault, but he's proven to be a better fighter than he was on that night when he's in proper condition. So while Fury deserves to be the favorite in July, it's hardly a foregone conclusion that he'll win.
I do think that if he does win, most people out there would like to see Fury face Klitschko (62-3, 52 KO). Not only is Tyson taller than Wladimir, but unlike other big guys out there like Alexander Ustinov, Mariusz Wach, etc., Fury does have some skills.
That said, Klitschko has his own actual tough test coming in September against Kubrat Pulev, so there's a lot here on both sides right now.
If they both do win their upcoming fights, is Klitschko-Fury the real fight to make at heavyweight?
