The IBF middleweight eliminator bout could take place on September 30th in Santa Monica, CA, and King Sports World has 90 days put it together. King bid $80,000 which was enough to win the bid away from Kathy Duva's Main Events, which reportedly bid $62,000.
Adam Gershon covered this matchup last week in a succinct and eloquent piece that you can read here, so I won't re-hash the particulars, but I will say that someone (N'Dam) that was dropped six times by Peter Quillin should probably be weary of the punching power that Stevens wields.
As for N'Dam's promoters take:
"This is absolutely a critically important fight for N'Dam and he's been looking forward to this for a long time," King said. "Curtis Stevens is one hell of a fighter, as you know, but we really do like this fight for N'Dam. And it's a hell of a fight for our company."
So apparently N'Dam has been wanting this for some time now, and I suspect that's a reference to a potential title-shot than to Stevens specifically, and now he'll get exactly what he was asking for, for better or worse.
