The undercard for Pacquiao-Algieri Nov. 22 (HBO PPV) is coming together, and it doesn't look exciting. Zou Shiming (5-0, 1 KO) will appear in his first scheduled 12-rounder against an opponent to be announced. Top Rank's Bob Arum says that the bout will be a title eliminator with victor to face the winner of the September 14 bout between IBF flyweight title holder Amnat Ruenroeng (13-0, 5 KOs) and McWilliams Arroyo (15-1, 13 KOs).
Also slated to fight on the undercard is Luis Carlos Abregu (36-1, 29 KOs). Since suffering his first and only defeat to Timothy Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs) in 2010, Abregu has won seven fights in a row, including a TKO victory over previously unbeaten Thomas Dulorme (21-1, 14 KOs). No opponent has been named for Abregu.
The media tour to promote Pacquiao-Algieri will kick off on August 25 in Macau. From there, the tour will visit Shanghai, China and Taipei, Taiwan before heading to the US for stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and possibly Las Vegas.
