Garcia vs Salka: Live streaming video of weigh-in event (August 8, 2014)

Danny Garcia, Rod Salka, and the rest of tomorrow's Showtime fighters hit the scales today in Brooklyn for Saturday's fights.

Today at 2:00 pm EDT streaming live right here on Bad Left Hook, Danny Garcia and Rod Salka take to the scales for their catchweight main event tomorrow night on Showtime Championship Boxing, a non-title bout where Garcia will not be defending his RING Magazine, WBC, or WBA junior welterweight titles.

Garcia (28-0, 16 KO) is a 50-to-1 favorite in this fight, with Salka (19-3, 3 KO) being written off by oddsmakers, fans, media, and pretty much everyone else. This is a heavily-criticized main event, but crazier things have happened, so at least there's that.

In the co-feature bouts, Lamont Peterson (32-2-1, 16 KO) will be defending his IBF junior welterweight title against club fighter Edgar Santana (29-4, 20 KO), another on-paper mismatch, and Daniel Jacobs (27-1, 24 KO) will face Jarrod Fletcher (18-1, 10 KO) for the vacant WBA "regular" middleweight title, an unnecessary and completely pointless lesser version of the belt currently held by Gennady Golovkin.
