Leo Santa Cruz talks Rigondeaux, Mayweather-Maidana 2, more

Leo Santa Cruz wants to fight the best, which is Guillermo Rigondeaux. But he wants great money fights. Which is not Guillermo Rigondeaux.

On whether it gets annoying hearing about Rigondeaux, Frampton, and Quigg

"What gets annoying is they're saying I'm scared. I'm not scared of nobody. If I was scared, I wouldn't be boxing. I'm here to fight whoever. I want to fight the best, because the best gotta fight the best. When people say I'm scared, I feel like there's nothing I can do. I can't just say, 'oh, yeah, I'm gonna fight him.' The whole thing has to be agreed to, we have to have an agreement. Both camps. It doesn't just depend on me."

On who annoys him the most

"Rigondeaux, because of all the talk and everything, and saying I'm scared to fight him. But nobody likes watching him on TV, so it's not gonna be a great money fight. I want to look for the good money fights, and the exciting fights that the fans will love."

On Rigondeaux's style

"I appreciate that he has good punches, he has great boxing style, but he doesn't throw that much. He's waiting to counter punch. If somebody gets on top of him, he hugs. He moves a lot. It's a boring style, but he's a great fighter. He has great punches and everything. I can't take anything away from him."

On Mayweather vs Maidana 2

"The main event's gonna be great, I think as great as the first one. But Mayweather, he's really smart. He's a great fighter. I think he's gonna take it this time easier. He's gonna study Maidana, like he did with Castillo. In the first one it was kind of tough, but in the second one, it was easy."
