Former super middleweight titlist Lucian Bute has chosen his next opponent- Roberto Feliciano Bolonti. The fight will take place at the fight will take place on December 6 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Since losing the IBF super middleweight belt via 5th round TKO to Carl Froch in 2012, Bute (31-2, 24 KOs) has been campaigning in the light heavyweight division. The last time Bute fought, he dropped a one-sided unanimous decision to Jean Pascal. Bute looked tentative and a step behind against Pascal. Bute announced he was training with Freddie Roach earlier this month in the hopes of rediscovering the pre-Froch version of himself that had fast hands and was undefeated.
Bolonti (35-3, 24 KOs) hails from Argentina, and has yet to suffer a knock down through 38 professional bouts. in his last fight, Bolonti dropped a wide unanimous decision to WBA World light heavyweight belt holder Juergen Braehmer.
