Closed circuit tickets for Mayweather vs Maidana 2 now on sale

Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana fight on Showtime PPV, as well as in theaters across the nation, and closed circuit locations in Las Vegas next Saturday.

Closed circuit is still a strangely vital part of the boxing pay-per-view business, and those who will be or are planning to be in Las Vegas on September 13, but don't have tickets to the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana fight, can watch on a big giant screen for $75.

Tickets for the closed circuit telecasts are priced at $75, not including handling fees. All seats are general admission and select venues are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster (800-745-3000), www.ticketmaster.com, MGM Resorts International Contact Center (866-740-7711), and all MGM Resorts International ticket offices. You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase tickets.

Properties hosting these telecasts are MGM Grand Premier Ballroom, Monte Carlo Diablos, Monte Carlo The Pub, Monte Carlo Double Barrel, Mirage Events Center and Bellagio Hyde Lounge.

Have any of you attended a Vegas closed circuit showing of a fight in recent years? I never hear about it, but it seems to do decent numbers still.

For those looking for movie theater tickets, a list of participating locations can be found here.
