Carl Frampton thanks fans after world title win, tweets morning-after photo

Carl Frampton is on top of the world, but he was certainly in a fight on Saturday with Kiko Martinez.

Carl Frampton is now the IBF super bantamweight world champion, having beaten Kiko Martinez in an exciting rematchin front of 16,000 fans yesterday in Belfast, and the 27-year-old "Jackal" is showing the signs of battle in this morning-after photo he tweeted:

Frampton (19-0, 13 KO) won comfortably on scores of 119-108, 119-108, and 118-111, but he took some good shots from Martinez (31-5, 23 KO), and obviously didn't leave the ring unscathed.

Frampton obviously doesn't have a next fight planned just yet, but there are lots of calls for him to face Leo Santa Cruz or even Guillermo Rigondeaux next in title unification fights, and Abner Mares even said he'd consider moving back down in weight to face Frampton, which is an intriguing idea.
