Roc Nation Sports Results: Dusty Hernandez Harrison, Tureano Johnson pick up wins

Roc Nation Sports didn't hit a home run with their first event, but they scored a field goal on a layup, par for the course.

The main event of the first ever Roc Nation Sports boxing event wasn't exactly a show stealer, but Dusty Hernandez Harrison stayed undefeated with a wide decision win over Tommy Rainone. Scores were 100-90, 100-90, and 99-91.

Harrison (25-0, 13 KO) kept a comfortable pace and was easily able to win rounds against Rainone (22-6-1, 4 KO), a punchless journeyman with a very limited game. The fight had trouble following the Fabolous concert, where Fabolous rapped over his own vocal tracks and people danced, which was probably the highlight of the night.

Tureano Johnson stopped Alex Theran after five pretty one-sided rounds in the TV opener, improving his record to 18-1 (13 KO). Johnson, 30, put Theran (17-2, 10 KO) on the canvas a couple times, and Theran appeared to be dealing with a leg injury when he was sent out for the sixth round. For all intents and purposes, he appeared ready to give up in the fifth, but there was a pretty long conference bit with the referee and ringside doctor after round five, and it was agreed eventually that the fight would be stopped.

Johnson is at worst a solid fringe contender in the middleweight division, with his only loss a controversial stoppage last year against Curtis Stevens. In this fight, he clearly overmatched Theran, which was expected given Theran's empty record and RTD-3 loss to Arif Magomedov in April 2014. But Johnson is one to watch this year. With the right breaks, he could be in the mix.
