For those who don't watch the show, Adrien Broner made a guest appearance on TMZ sports on Friday to discuss the offer Roc Nation Sports made to sign him. Adrien wasn't at all pleased with the 5-year, $40M offer, and had a conference call with TMZ to let Jay know that he could...ummm...how can I put this delicately....give him fellatio with such an offer. He then went on a short rant about how Jay should never have sent one of his minions to make him an offer because "bosses only talk to bosses," which Adrien apparently feels he is. Broner then went on to explain the terms of the offer, which would require him to fight twice a year and amount to a flat $8M salary over the course of five years. Adrien, of course, has much bigger plans than that, and say's he's already scheduled to fight four times this year, and thus the Roc Nation offer was completely unacceptable.
TMZ reporters then went on to goad Broner by intimating that if he were to sign with the company, he could be close to pop star Rihanna, an idea Broner immediately dismissed by saying Rihanna (and I don't know how to put this delicately) "is only good for p****."
Both statements raised some eyebrows, and it wasn't long before Broner was making another public apology. After Broner consulted with what he referred to as his 'Big Homie' he admitted he was wrong for going at Jay and Rihanna in such fashion. "I'm a man at the end of the day," Broner says ... "I'm wrong and I can admit when I'm wrong."
Broner then went on to clarify his apology, which seemed more directed towards Jay than Rihanna. "You never invite another man to another man's private part. That's just ridiculous." It's nice to see Adrien maturing at an exponential rate.
