Eric Hunter improved to 20-3 (10 KO) with a solid unanimous decision win tonight against Rene Alvarado in Philadelphia, outpointing the Nicaraguan on scores of 98-92, 97-93, and 97-93. BLH had it 97-93 for Hunter. Alvarado falls to 21-4 (14 KO) with his second loss in his last three fights.

Michael Perez topped Miguel Acosta in an entertaining junior welterweight battle, which went the full 10 rounds and featured a pair of knockdowns for Perez, who won on scores of 96-93, 96-93, and 97-94. BLH had it 96-92 for Perez. The 10th round of this one was a must-see and an early Round of the Year contender, just wall to wall action, and for those that missed the card, the fight is definitely worth your time. Perez is now 22-1-2 (10 KO), while Acosta slips to 29-8-2 (23 KO) with his fourth straight loss in a very spirited effort.

19-year-old lightweight prospect Lamont Roach Jr improved to 6-0 (3 KO) with a dominant win over Herbert Quartey. Roach scored a knockdown in round one, and two in the fourth round, when referee Steve Smoger stopped the bout, which had been scheduled for six. Quartey is now 12-11 (9 KO).
