Floyd Mayweather: Pacquiao fight 'not made yet'

Floyd Mayweather says a fight with Manny Pacquiao is not made just yet, but is it just more talk before we finally get the announcement?

Despite reports from yesterday that a Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao fight was a done deal that would be announced in the coming days, Mayweather took to his Shots account to say that the fight is not done yet:

A few things to remember:

  1. Mayweather has a recent history of saying fights aren't happening that do happen. He said he wasn't fighting Robert Guerrero. He fought Guerrero.
  2. Mayweather would certainly want to keep building the suspense if the fight were done. They might be looking at a big Super Bowl announcement. To keep people paying attention, you'd probably want to jerk them around just a little bit more in the final couple days.
  3. Mayweather might be doing this to bring attention to his Shots account. I didn't know what Shots was until just now.

So all I'm saying is, don't put the apple before the cart anywhere. This could just be the final swerve before the fight is announced tomorrow. Or maybe the fight really isn't done. I don't know. Who the hell knows?
