Friday, January 9

ESPN2, 9:00 pm EST, Darleys Perez vs Jonathan Maicelo, Francisco Santana vs Kendal Mena. FNF returns for the 2015 season with a solid lightweight main event and then a pretty normal co-feature between Santana and the unbeaten Mena, who comes in to replace Randall Bailey. Connor will be taking over FNF duties this year! BLH will have live coverage.

FOX Sports 1, 10:00 pm EST, Tureano Johnson vs Alex Theran, Dusty Hernandez Harrison vs Tommy Rainone, Chris van Heerden vs Cecil McCalla, Zhang Zhilei vs Hassan Lee. A solid FS1 card (not sure that van Heerden-McCalla will be televised, but throwing it in anyway). Zhang Zhilei is your novelty reason to tune in, but stay for actual prospect DHH and Tureano Johnson in the main event! BLH will have live coverage.

SHO, 11:00 pm EST, Ivan Redkach vs Yakubu Amidu, Ievgen Khytrov vs Maurice Louishome, Patrick Day vs Alantez Fox. The first ShoBox of 2015 features hot prospect Redkach in the lightweight main event against Amidu, who was or is managed by Hollywood's Own Vince Vaughn (Fred Claus, Gus Van Sant's Psycho). Khytrov, a middleweight banger from Ukraine, is well worth tuning in for alone, because he's a guy you want to keep your eye on. BLH will have live coverage.

Saturday, January 10

TyC Sports (ARG), 10:00 pm EST, Alan Isaias Luques Castillo vs Lucas Antonio Carranza.

UniMas, 11:00 pm EST, Jessie Magdaleno vs Erik Ruiz, Rodrigo Garcia vs Jailton de Jesus Souza. The first Solo Boxeo Tecate of 2015! This is a fun weekend because I can keep going "the first (that thing) of 2015!" and I'll get a few more chances for that, too, as several regular boxing series won't be coming back until later this month. It's a wonderful time of year. Magdaleno is being showcased once again, with conventional wisdom that he has the higher upside than older brother Diego. BLH will have live coverage.

Azteca (MEX), 11:30 pm EST, Javier Mendoza vs Mauricio Fuentes.
