Edwin Rodriguez (27-1, 18 KOs) is currently riding a three fight win streak since missing weight, losing a title shot, and then just getting outclassed by Andre Ward back in late 2013. The Worcester, MA resident will be taking on little known Michael Seals (19-0, 14 KOs) to headline a Nov. 13th PBC card on Spike TV that will be held at the Beau Rivage Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi.
While sporting an undefeated record, Seals hasn't fought anyone of note or anyone near Rodriguez's level, with his last five opponents having a combined record of 56-93-8. While this marks a huge jump for Seals, it also marks a huge opportunity to start making a name for himself.
Rodriguez may not be a world beater either, but he's a top-15 rated light heavyweight with some pretty good skills. He's most recently coming of a third round stoppage over Craig Baker in Boston this past May. On paper, Rodriguez-Seals looks to be simply another Al Haymon showcase fight, unless Seals proves he can really compete at this level.
