Today at 1 pm EST, streaming live right here on Bad Left Hook, middleweight titleholders Gennady Golovkin and David Lemieux will take to the stage in New York ahead of Saturday night's HBO pay-per-view main event at Madison Square Garden.
Golovkin (33-0, 30 KO) and Lemieux (34-2, 31 KO) are expected to put on an action-packed fight on Saturday, for as long as it lasts, and nobody is anticipating the fight going the distance. Golovkin has stopped his last 20 opponents while becoming one of the most talked-about fighters in the sport. Lemieux has stopped seven of his last nine opponents, and though he went the distance in his last outing, he dropped Hassan N'Dam four times.
Also on the card, flyweight champion Roman Gonzalez (43-0, 37 KO) will defend against Brian Viloria (36-4, 22 KO); Turean Johnson (18-1, 13 KO) will face Eamonn O'Kane (14-1-1, 5 KO) in a middleweight bout; and heavyweights Luis Ortiz (22-0, 19 KO) and Matias Ariel Vidondo (20-1-1, 18 KO).
