Weights: Lucas Matthysse, Viktor Postol set for junior welterweight title bout

Everyone was on weight today for tomorrow night's HBO doubleheader.

The WBC junior welterweight title is officially on the line for tomorrow night's HBO main event, as Lucas Matthysse and Viktor Postol each comfortably made weight at today's weigh-in event. With a 140-pound limit, both fighters came in at 139.4.

Matthysse (37-3, 34 KO) is the betting favorite as well as the more popular and well-known fighter, but Postol (27-0, 11 KO) is a legitimate contender himself. Both of these fighters could (or should) be considered in the top five of this weight class right now, and it's rare that a vacant title fight actually pits two higher-end contenders like this one does, and with both fighters passing the eye test and looking fit on the scales, it's all good news right now.

The junior welterweight division is also up in the co-feature, where veteran Humberto Soto (65-8-2, 35 KO) will face prospect Antonio Orozco (22-0, 15 KO). Soto weighed in at 140 pounds, with Orozco at 140.6. Since this is a non-title fight, there is a pound or so of wiggle room for the weight, so both guys are good to go for the 10-round bout.
