beIN Sports picks up Flanagan-Magdaleno, Smith-Thompson world title doubleheader

beIN Sports has grabbed US and Canadian TV rights for Saturday's world title fights in the UK.

Boxing fans in the United States and Canada will be able to watch live and legal on Saturday when Manchester, England hosts a pair of world title fights, as beIN Sports has picked up the card's two main bouts, with their broadcast set to begin at 4 pm EST.

In the main event, Terry Flanagan (28-0, 11 KO) will defend the WBO lightweight title against Diego Magdaleno (28-1, 12 KO). The co-feature will see Liam Smith (20-0-1, 10 KO) battle John Thompson (17-1, 6 KO) for the vacant WBO junior middleweight belt, most recently held by Demetrius "Boo Boo" Andrade.

Both fights are pretty even matchups on paper, with home fighters Flangan and Smith slight favorites on the books at the moment against their traveling American challengers.

BLH will have live coverage of the full card, which begins at Noon EST via the UK's BoxNation. The undercard will feature several other solid matchups, including Luke Blackledge-Lee Markham, Thomas Stalker-Craig Evans, and Jack Catterall-Jarkko Putkonen, plus the pro debut of Vijender Singh.
