UFC 193 was held a long ways from Albuquerque, New Mexico -- 8,566 miles away, in fact, in Melbourne, Australia -- but Holly Holm's hometown fans were watching, and they went completely bananas when Holm stunned the world and knocked out Ronda Rousey in round two to become the new UFC bantamweight champion, and the first person to ever win legitimate world titles in both boxing and mixed martial arts.
Here's a video of hometown fans reacting to the kick heard 'round the world, and Holm being crowned the new champion:

Much of Holm's decorated boxing career was ignored by media -- even boxing media, let alone mainstream media -- and Albuquerque was where she sustained her career. It didn't make her a superstar, but she was a local celebrity and could draw a consistent crowd in her hometown.
This, of course, is a whole new level of exposure for Holm, 35, who has been fighting professionally since 2002, and while her hometown fans largely wouldn't have been able to make the trip all the way to Melbourne to see this live, this reaction is something she'll surely love seeing played back to her.
