Carl Frampton talks "brainless" Scott Quigg

Carl Frampton says his amatuer background will make the difference when he faces Scott Quigg, saying that he was boxing while Quigg was still eating crayons.

Eddie Hearn and Co. seem to have gotten under the skin of Carl Frampton leading into Frampton's huge fight with Scott Quigg on Feb. 27th. Frampton is now taking out some of his frustration on Quigg in the media, saying he has the smarts that Quigg can't match in the ring.

"I think my amateur background will be the difference," said Frampton. "My boxing brain is going to win this fight. He is manufactured, he doesn't have a brain never mind a boxing brain."

"I had my first boxing bout when I was seven. I don't know what he was doing at seven, probably still eating crayons."

Besides winning the fight, the added bonus for Frampton is him wanting to wipe the smug look off the faces of Quigg's promoter Eddie Hearn and trainer Joe Gallagher.

"Quigg is not a bad lad. I don't like Joe Gallagher, I don't like Eddie Hearn and their smugness is p****** me off a bit. That's it really.

"I'm going out there to silence them too and I will."

Frampton goes on to say that the only reason Scott Quigg is even with Eddie Hearn is because he left Hearn, creating an opening for Quigg. Frampton says when he was still aligned with Hearn, Hearn would always say that he would knockout Quigg. And it's only now that he's left him that Hearn is singing a different tune..which is probably to be expected.
