Now Hylon Williams is an interesting case on someone I've been on the lookout for over the last few years. I've seen him fight a few times, and think he's highly skilled, but at age 25, he's been hard pressed to find an optimal weight class to compete in -- particularly considering his lack of power.
This power deficiency also makes him a pretty good fight for Gamboa since he won't have to worry much about getting sparked. In fact, he could well spark Williams, but I think it'll be a good scrap, and I'm happy to see Wililams get another shot on a bigger stage.
Gamboa is most recently coming off a 6th round stoppage over Joel Montes de Oca last November, a few Jr.months after getting beat up pretty good by Terence Crawford.
