Omar Figuroa, Jr. vs. Antonio DeMarco headlines 12/12 PBC on NBC show in San Antonio

The two were originally slated to face off in September before an elbow injury to Figueroa scuttled it.

Premier Boxing Champions doesn't appear to be slacking off as 2015 comes to an end, as multiple sources report that they are heading down to San Antonio's AT&T Center on December 12th for a solid card headlined by a rescheduled clash between Omar Figueroa and Antonio DeMarco.

The undercard will feature a bevy of heavyweight matchups, including Dominic Breazeale vs. Charles Martin, Chris Arreola vs. Travis Kauffman, and Artur Szpilka vs. Amir Mansour.

Figueroa (25-0-1, 18 KO) has yet to taste defeat, but has had something of a rough go recently, sandwiching a knockout of Daniel Estrada between controversial decision wins over Jerry Belmontes and Ricky Burns. Still, he seems quite likely to take out DeMarco (31-5-1, 23 KO), who is ending a ludicrously-brief retirement following losses to Jessie Vargas and Rances Barthelemy. The Mexican bruiser is tough as nails, but while there are many ways to hypothetically beat Figueroa, a firefight isn't one of them.

The rest of the fights seem a bit more interesting. Breazeale (16-0, 14 KO) struggled with Fred Kassi last time out and Martin (22-0-1, 20 KO), though untested himself, can really punch. Kauffman's (30-1, 22 KO) record seems good, but this is likely another get-well fight for the inconsistent "Nightmare" (36-4-1, 31 KO). Mansour (22-1-1, 16 KO) got shafted a bit against Gerald Washington recently and Szpilka (20-1, 15 KO) hasn't faced anyone solid since beating Tomasz Adamek last year, so this seems like solid matchmaking.

Overall, a nice offering from PBC, although I'm not too keen on watching DeMarco get beaten up again.
