Premier Boxing Champions will be staying busy on FS1 during the holidays, as a December 29 card is set for Sands Bethlehem in Pennyslvania, and a January 12 card will kick off the PBC new year for 2016 in San Antonio.
On December 29, super featherweight prospect Omar Douglas (15-0, 11 KO) will take on Frank De Alba (17-1-2, 6 KO) in a 10-round main event. Douglas, 24, is coming off of a win over Braulio Santos on September 15, which also aired on FS1. De Alba, 28, is a southpaw originally from Bayamon, Puerto Rico, now fighting out of Reading, Pennsylvania.
The January 12 event at Cowboys Dance Hall will feature the return of featherweight prospect Miguel Flores (18-0, 9 KO) in a 10-round bout against Mario Briones (27-4-2, 20 KO). The 23-year-old Flores, fighting out of Houston and born in Mexico, last fought on November 10, beating Alfred Tetteh on FS1. Briones, 29, of Mexico, has won two straight over easy opponents, but was stopped in one by Rodolfo Hernandez in May 2014, the last time he fought an experienced opponent. His last fight came on November 6, which followed a year out of the ring.
