ShoBox results: Antoine Douglas stops Thomas Lamanna in sixth round

Antoine Douglas outmuscled Thomas Lamanna in tonight's ShoBox main event.

Middleweight prospect Antoine Douglas stayed undefeated tonight with a sixth round stoppage win over Thomas Lamanna in the ShoBox main event, scoring three official knockdowns in round six to pick up the win.

Douglas (17-0-1, 11 KO) dominated the fight physically, as Lamanna (16-1, 7 KO) just couldn't do much of anything with him. Offensively, Lamanna's lack of power was telling, and Douglas did a good job staying on top of his opponent, never giving Lamanna much room to work or get anything established in the fight.

The first ruled knockdown was an odd one, as the punch didn't seem to land, but Lamanna's knee did touch the canvas. The second knockdown was a little unusual, too, as Douglas legitimately floored Lamanna, but it came right after Lamanna had landed a shot that knocked Douglas' mouthpiece out.

The third and final knockdown, which prompted referee Harvey Dock to stop the fight, came on a chopping right hand to the side of Lamanna's head. Lamanna wasn't particularly hurt on any of the knockdowns, but Dock had to make a decision, and he made it. The fight wasn't really competitive and Lamanna was getting decked consistently.

Other results:

  • Ismael Barroso TKO-6 Issouf Kinda
  • Jerry Odom TKO-1 Andrew Hernandez
  • Adam Lopez KO-2 Pablo Cruz
