Keith Thurman and Robert Guerrero were fit and ready on the scales today for tomorrow night's Premier Boxing Champions card on NBC, the debut of the series set up by powerful adviser Al Haymon.
Guerrero (32-2-1, 18 KO) weighed in at the welterweight limit of 147 pounds in front of a pretty pro-"Ghost" crowd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and Thurman (24-0, 21 KO) hit the same mark, with some pretty notable booing for his introduction.
The two will meet in the main event on Saturday night, with the TV triple-header starting at 8:30 pm EDT.
Also in action will be Adrien Broner (29-1, 22 KO), taking on tough John Molina (27-5, 22 KO) in a 12-round junior welterweight bout. Broner weighed in at 141, with Molina at 140. The contract weight was announced as being 140+1, so Broner is fine.
Abner Mares (28-1-1, 15 KO) will open the broadcast against Arturo Santos Reyes (18-4, 5 KO) in a 10-round featherweight bout, as well. Mares weighed in at 127, with Reyes at 126.
