Adrien Broner didn't put on the show he had promised during fight week, and never came close to stopping John Molina, but "The Problem" improved to 30-1 with a wide 12-round decision win tonight on the PBC on NBC premiere.
Broner, 25, was able to win his third straight fight without much trouble, handing Molina (27-6, 22 KO) his third straight defeat, after 2014 losses to Lucas Matthysse and Humberto Soto. While Molina went to war with Matthysse and was competitive if a bit odd in his approach against Soto, Broner pretty easily handled the brawler tonight, outthrowing and outlanding him significantly, and landing 44% of his total punches.
Molina found a few moments of success with a right hand, but was never really in the fight after the third round. Broner just found it too easy to control the fight from a comfortable distance, and Molina's workrate never threatened Broner or made him turn up his own production.
