Matthysse vs Provodnikov: Harold Lederman previews the fight

HBO's veteran analyst and ringside scorer is as excited as the rest of us.

"Lucas Matthysse takes on Ruslan Provodnikov. Two vicious punchers getting it on at Turning Stone. It should be sensational.

"Lucas Matthysse from Argentina is recognized as probably the hardest body puncher in the world today in all of boxing. That's saying a lot. He's just an amazing body puncher. Scary fighter. Absolutely scary fighter.

"Provodnikov, the Siberian Rocky, people are still gonna recognize Provodnikov as one of the top welterweights in the world, no doubt about it. The fact that he lost to Chris Algieri, it was a very close fight, very controversial. He knocked Algieri down two times in the first round. He probably won the fight and just didn't get the decision. So I don't think people are holding it against Provodnikov that he lost two fights recently. I think that the guy's just known as a great fighter, a vicious puncher, a great TV, fan-friendly fighter. A guy who's gonna give you a great fight every time.

"If you turn on the television set to watch Ruslan Provodnikov against Lucas Matthysse, you're gonna see a great fight, and that's all there is to it."
