Mayweather vs Pacquiao: 'Mayvinci Code' sucks, Floyd just ordinary

FightHype caught up with Freddie Roach, and he isn't at all impressed with the so-called 'Mayvinci Code' and labels Floyd an ordinary fighter who can't beat Pacquiao.

Wil Esco is an assistant editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2014.

The media blitz on Mayweather-Pacquiao has been heating up as the fight nears. FightHype just recently caught up with Freddie Roach and asked for his thoughts on solving the "Mayvinci Code." Roach responded that his code 'sucks' and all he does is run around the ring. "What's to solve on Floyd?!" Roach rhetorically asks. "He sets traps a couple times, he's ordinary..." Roach then goes on to say that he's shown Manny how Oscar fell for some of his traps and insists that Manny will not do the same.

Now look, I don't expect for Freddie to sit around and heap praise on his upcoming adversary, but going the extra mile in hyperbole - to say things like Floyd is just ordinary - does nothing but impugn his own credibility. Clearly neither fighter is ordinary, even in their declining states, and Freddie might curry more favor by at least being a little more realistic in his proclamations.
