Mayweather vs Pacquiao: Floyd going for the KO

Floyd Mayweather's camp insist that they're looking to put an exclamation point on the May 2nd fight, with a KO of Pacquiao to seal any doubt.

What are the chances of Floyd Mayweather knocking out Manny Pacquiao? Well if you ask him or members of his team, they're pretty damn good. Floyd hasn't scored a knockout over an opponent since his questionable KO over Victor Ortiz a few years ago, but for the first time in a long time he'll be in the ring with a smaller man than him. Could that make all the difference? Perhaps. Or maybe he just plans to be more aggressive in an attempt to put a stamp on his legacy. All is to be revealed in due time.

"Floyd Mayweather is going to try to take Manny Pacquiao's head off and you can count on that happening," Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe told RingTV.com when asked about Mayweather's relatively tame approach to this fight. "He's looking to finish him off and I strongly believe that will happen."

Floyd himself has been uncharacteristically quiet leading up to the biggest fight in his career. There can be many different conclusions draw as to why that is - but he has his trainers and affiliates filling in for soundbytes when needed. Just ask Floyd Sr.

"We're getting ready to stretch him," he said with a wide grin on his face. "All the time to talk is over."

How many of you out there believe that Mayweather has any real chance of knocking Pacman out? And how many of you think he'll actually try to bring the fight to Pacquiao to get him out of there?
