Now I know this is what you all have been thinking - where the heck is C.J. Ross and what's her prediction for Mayweather-Pacquiao? Well she's back, in some form anyway, and she gives her impression as to how the fight will play itself out.
"I've seen more of a decline in Manny Pacquiao than I have seen in Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather still has his punch speed, although he has lost some of his foot speed. He has never been a knockout puncher, but he has enough desire to not go out as a loser."
"Pacquiao on the other hand has weaker legs, his timing is off and he has lost before. He has the heart though and might be able to hold out in the early rounds, but I don't see it going past the eighth."
There you have it. She has Floyd stopping Manny inside of eight rounds. To quickly recap, Ross decided to walk away from judging professional fights after the unrelenting criticism received from a couple of highly questionable scorecards. First, she was a judge who gave Timothy Bradley the nod over Pacquiao in their first meeting, a fight that most saw Pacquiao winning easily. Then she scored an inexplicable draw during Mayweather-Alvarez, in what nearly everyone saw as very clear and decisive win for Mayweather. Despite her stepping down as judge, she has intimated that she may make a return to judging in the near future. Luckily for us, it won't be in this fight.
