Yesterday, at the NSAC monthly meeting, the commission panel issued a temporary suspension to John Molina for failing a post-fight drug test following Molina's completely uninspired loss to Adrien Broner last month. Molina tested positive for a banned diuretic that is often used to help fighters either make the weight limit or mask PEDs. Molina took to social media to express his disbelief in the positive test.
Shocked urine test showed + for diuretic. Have too much respect for boxing, fans, my career to ever cheat. Will work with NSAC to figure out

John Molina is now on a three fight losing streak and this suspension clearly won't benefit his boxing career much. Now Molina is faced with the prospect of having to hold a hearing in front of the commission in order to prove there was something wrong with the positive test. If he cannot validate this claim, he'll likely be suspended for a period of nine months from the Broner fight as well as a piece of his $450,000 purse that he earned for his beating.
