Quigg-Frampton 'dead in the water'

It looks like there won't be any Scott Quigg - Carl Frampton fight, after the two sides haven't been able to come to any agreement.

Eddie Hearn writes in The Daily Mail that he's been continually trying to make a deal to stage a Quigg-Frampton fight, but that he hasn't received any response back from Frampton's team and expects the fight to go by the wayside.

"After a disappointing couple of weeks it seems that my hopes to stage Carl Frampton-Scott Quigg this summer are dead in the water," Hearn wrote.

"We received no offers from their side and made three of our own. We offered a 50-50 split, a 60-40 in favour of the winner and also a £1.5m guarantee to Frampton. I sent that last offer in writing to them and had no response."

Hearn is now saying the Scott Quigg will move on to face another opponent on July 18th, and takes a parting shot at Frampton by saying it will be against a tougher opponent than whomever Frampton faces next. I know that Guillermo Rigondeaux still needs a dance partner and has been trying to get either of these guys in the ring with him for quite some time. His promoter even stated his willingness to go fight over in the U.K., but for some reason, I don't expect Hearn to be returning any calls from Rigo...
