Mayweather vs Pacquiao and more: Boxing fight times and TV schedule for April 30-May 2

Thursday, April 30

ESPN2, 9:00 pm EST, Ishe Smith vs Cecil McCalla, Ashley Theophane vs Mahonri Montes. A special edition of ESPN FNF on Thursday, with Mayweather Promotions putting on a double-header featuring their fighters, Smith and Theophane, in bouts that are, you know, fine. Mostly this will be used as another promotional tool for Mayweather-Pacquiao, and that is also fine. BLH will have live coverage.

FOX Sports 1, 10:00 pm EST, Mercito Gesta vs Carlos Molina, Jeffrey Fontanez vs Jose Hernandez. Golden Boy's getting in on the festivities this week with Gesta, a former Top Rank prospect who flamed out a little bit, against Molina, the guy who was sacrificed to Amir Khan and Adrien Broner. This fight is more on Molina's level, and it's nice that he's been rewarded for his service with an appropriate fight on TV. BLH will have live coverage.

Friday, May 1

truTV, 10:00 pm EST, Ray Beltran vs Takahiro Ao, Mikael Zewski vs Konstantin Ponomarev. Top Rank's premiere on truTV features Beltran and Ao fighting for the lightweight title that Terence Crawford vacated, and a nice prospect vs prospect welterweight fight between Zewski and Ponomarev, both undefeated. Kind of like a high-level ShoBox main event as the co-feature, with a high-level basic cable main event as the main event. We'll see if the series keeps up the matchmaking, but this is a good start. BLH will have live coverage.

Saturday, May 2

TV3+ (DEN) / TV10 (SWE), 3:00 pm EST, Patrick Nielsen vs Ruben Acosta, Erica Annabella Farias vs Klara Svensson.
