Tecate, which is the lead sponsor for Saturday's Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, has long been a big boxing supporter, and has offered mail-in rebates for pay-per-view shows in the past. They will do so again for Saturday's event, and given this is a $100 pay-per-view, the idea might be more appealing than ever.
You can get $50 off the PPV price with a purchase of three 18-packs of Tecate or Tecate Light, or if you're not looking to buy that much Tecate, you can get $15 off with purchase of one 18-pack, or $30 off with purchase of two. There are also prize packages available and whatnot, so all in all, look, if you want to buy some Tecate beer, and you're going to watch the fight, this is a pretty good deal.
Tecate bid $5.6 million to be the official beer of the fight, beating out Corona, which bid $5.2 million. Both numbers would have been records for any sponsorship of any fight ever, but Tecate's is the one that will go down in history. I mean, you know, as far as the history of boxing fight sponsorships goes.
