Realistically, it was only a matter of time before the 'woman beater' card was played in what appears to be another attempt by Freddie Roach to get under Mayweather's skin. Freddie Roach tells USA Today that Mayweather's history of violence against women upsets Manny, and is only fueling his training preparation for the May 2nd clash.

"Manny is really against domestic violence," Roach said. "It is a big issue maybe in the Philippines for him and being a congressman he can control some of that stuff. That is a big plus for me that Manny does not like the guy, I think the killer instinct is going to come back a lot faster."

How many times have we heard Roach say the killer instinct was coming back? Well, maybe Manny truly does dislike Mayweather and doesn't plan on showing him any compassion when they face each other in the ring. I think that's a great thing. We all want them to leave everything in the ring, and nobody wants to see Manny take his foot off the gas pedal.

"(I see the fight as) good against evil, yes. I have even thought about bringing a couple of the metro cops from Vegas in to tell Manny how many times (Mayweather) has been arrested and how bad of a guy he is, but I decided I can't go that far. He already doesn't like him; I think we are OK."

Well at least Freddie is exercising some discretion here. Bringing in police officers to berate Floyd to Manny seems to be way over-the-top. If Manny just wants to hear people say how much of a terrible person Floyd is, he should just visit our comments section. Besides, Manny shouldn't need any added motivation for this fight. It's already the biggest fight of his career.
