There were no bad surprises on the scales this afternoon in Las Vegas, and The Fight is ready to go. Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao both made weight for tomorrow night's huge welterweight showdown at the MGM Grand, in front of a packed and rabid crowd for the weigh-in event.
Mayweather (47-0, 26 KO) weighed in at 146 pounds, one pound below the limit, while Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KO) was at 145 pounds. Both men looked in phenomenal condition, and there should be no worry that they might not be in top shape.
The crowd was overwhelmingly pro-Pacquiao, cheering for him every time he was shown on the big screen, and switching to boos every time Mayweather was shown.
Leo Santa Cruz (29-0-1, 17 KO) and Jose Cayetano (17-3, 8 KO) both weighed in at 124 pounds for their fight, which will air second on the pay-per-view broadcast. The opener will feature Vasyl Lomachenko (3-1, 1 KO), who weighed in at 125½ pounds for his WBO featherweight title defense against Puerto Rico's Gamalier Rodriguez (25-2-3, 17 KO). Rodriguez weighed in at the division limit of 126.
