Gennady Golovkin defends his WBA middleweight title tomorrow night at The Forum in Inglewood, as he'll face American contender Willie Monroe Jr, who takes a big step up in competition from the likes of Bryan Vera and the 2014 Boxcino tournament. Today, they weigh in for the fight, which airs on HBO at 10 pm EST on Saturday.
Golovkin (32-0, 29 KO) and Monroe (19-1, 6 KO) will not be the only fight tomorrow night, though, and you'll also see flyweight champion and pound-for-pound star Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (42-0, 36 KO) hit the scales for his defense against Mexican veteran Edgar Sosa (51-8, 30 KO), which will be the opening bout of the broadcast, and the HBO debut for Gonzalez, a Nicaraguan fighter who has emerged as one of the sport's best fighters.
