The fighters are set for tomorrow night's HBO World Championship Boxing doubleheader from The Forum in Inglewood, California, tomorrow night, with one minor slip at today's weigh-in that should not actually mean much to the card.
Edgar Sosa (51-8, 30 KO) weighed in at 112.4 pounds initially for his challenge to WBC flyweight champ Roman Gonzalez (42-0, 36 KO), and then came in at 112.2 fully nude. He has two hours to lose the 0.2 pounds, which should not be a problem. Gonzalez weighed in at 111 pounds.
For the main event, WBA middleweight titleholder Gennady Golovkin (32-0, 29 KO) weighed in at 159 pounds, just below challenger Willie Monroe Jr (19-1, 6 KO), who came in at the divisional limit of 160. Golovkin-Monroe is good to go, and Gonzalez-Sosa will be shortly. So that's good. And it has to be said that Monroe was BUFF JACKED RIPPED SHREDDED. I mean, it doesn't have to be, but we have to get to 150 words here.
