Mitt Romney and Evander Holyfield put on a show last night in Salt Lake City, with Romney scoring a second round knockdown on a thunderous blow to the elbow, then fleeing as Holyfield gave chase. The charity fight, which benefited CharityVision, was stopped there as Romney's corner threw in the towel.

BoxNation has announced that they've picked up some more fights for May and June. In addition to tonight's Golovkin-Monroe card and next Friday's Povetkin-Perez bill from Russia, they've acquired the rights to Khan-Algieri (5/29), Cotto-Geale (6/6), Walters-Marriaga (6/13), and Bradley-Vargas (6/27). They'll also have a June 20 bill in Liverpool featuring Paul Butler, Jack Catterall, and Tom Stalker.

Tickets for the June 4 edition of Golden Boy's LA Fight Club at the Belasco Theater in LA are on sale now. The show will feature Jayson Velez in the main event and Christian Gonzalez in the co-feature.

Virgil Hill Jr, the 25-year-old son of the former two-time WBA light heavyweight and two-time WBA cruiserweight titleholder and Hall of Famer Virgil Hill, improved to 5-0 (2 KO) last night with a win over a 41-year-old novice in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Hill is pretty new to the boxing game, all things considered, as he is coming out of a baseball career that saw him serve in the St. Louis Cardinals farm system from 2009-12, after having been a sixth round draft pick by the team.

As expected, Lukasz Janik has been tapped to replace countryman Krzysztof Wlodarczyk on May 22 in a WBA cruiserweight title fight, with Grigory Drzod making his first defense. That's part of the Povetkin-Perez bill.
