There is no love lost between Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather, and that's nothing new. So with Mayweather-Pacquiao turning out to be a pretty routine Floyd Mayweather fight, De La Hoya took to Twitter to take some digs at the fight.
Sorry boxing fans.

Can't wait for some real action next week @Canelo vs @KOKirkland @HBOboxing

Call me old school but I like the fans getting their money's worth by watching an action packed fight.

Im just not into the boxing, running style. I like jumping out of my seat because a fight was existing and the fans got their money's worth.

Now, look, everyone likes fights that make us jump out of our seats. That is not exactly a hot take. When a fight is awesome, we all agree it's cool and great that it's happening. And Canelo-Kirkland is a good fight that we're all looking forward to watching, I'd say. Or most of us. Or at least me. I am. I'm happy that fight's coming next weekend.
But does anyone remember De La Hoya apologizing to boxing fans when he was lining his pockets with Mayweather's fights against Juan Manuel Marquez, Shane Mosley, Robert Guerrero, and Canelo Alvarez? Because I don't seem to recall him doing that, and those fights were every bit as subjectively dull as Mayweather-Pacquiao.
But it's all just Oscar being Oscar, really. No big deal.
